North Gorge..North Stradbroke Island..Queensland, Australia
..Straddie snaps..view down into centre of Gorge..  ..love Straddie still one of my  beaches..grew up going here alot...soo much sealife here..your always sure to see massive groups of manta rays..huge green turtles..passing humpbacks..many breeds of sharks..(surfing out here I've been up to 1.5m away from these guys..so much fish life here that chances of been attacked are quite small..so we never really worry..+ in Aboriginal beliefs fear is sensed by these guys so you just don't think about them and all will be fine...most of the time).... .. pods of dolphines always..and rare jellyfish... surfskiing out here when I was about 14 I passed over a jellyfish that was about 2m in diameter brown coca cola coloured with darker brown spots and short stubby tentacles very freaky, huge waves out there that day..was praying I wasn't going to tip over onto this creature..didn't know if it could sting or not....never seen one of these before..or a jellyfish this ugly and huge..love Straddie. spring.november08  |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
